Studying Computer Science
Arianna (at the left) is taking part in Project EPIC (Engage, Prepare, Inspire, Challenge), a special PCC program that supports students traditionally underrepresented in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics – the STEM professions. Arianna calls herself an “active learner” and is gaining the skills to write computer code.

Richard, who served in the Air Force for three years, chose Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning-Refrigeration (HVAC-R) because he wanted a recession-proof, challenging career. He got an HVAC-R job last year and is continuing his studies at PCC, working toward an Associate degree.
